Thank you to those who attended our Winter Field Day event at Hungry Mother Park on Saturday, January 27! We got a couple of POTA activations in before the WFD actually began at 2PM - and then we operated until about 5:30PM and were able to make several contacts. I have posted some photos below. It looks as if you have quite the selection of radios there. Did you put your FTM-400 in one of your vehilcles?

Very nice. My current blogging situation is thorough, but a scattered mess. One of the factors which has made it easy to not address the problem is some of uncertainty regarding which system to use. I agree that direct entry is important. I will check out the qrz logging. Thanks for the detailed accounting of your experience.

Great post! I also remember the days before the internet and it's great that these tools are available which allows us to have messaging functionality without depending upon commercial infrastructure.
